As a buyer: after you and the seller discuss the item, use Shake on This Deal to send a handshake request. The item stays available until the seller accepts someone — no reservation hold.
As a seller: Accepting a handshake means you agree to proceed with that buyer and the listing will be marked sold/unavailable.
